Hope, among other things, motivates the awake individual to seek the truth, to find a way to convince others to wake up and prepare for whatever lies ahead. It is the feeling that all will turn out right, no matter how dire, how bleak the circumstances. To live a life bereft of hope is akin to passing each day expecting absolutely nothing, for there would be nothing to look forward to, no reason to be happy and be at peace with oneself.
Prior to the awakening, the individual will have to realize and acknowledge the fallen state of our world. The individual will have to go through the despair, loneliness and emptiness of the depression phase, questioning everything about human morality and its place in this paradigm. Once the individual has woken up, he or she will have to pick up the pieces of his or her previous mindset and start anew, with the fresh hope that he or she will find greater meaning.
Today, humanity is at a crossroads. Depending on how one looks at it, more and more people seem to be slowly waking up to reality. The Internet has allowed other awake individuals to reach out to those just beginning to wake up, providing them with information and resources via the alternative media and truth blogs. Even so, there are still people who are disillusioned and skeptical of this truth, no thanks to the nonsense spewed out by mainstream media.
If all hope was lost, perhaps there would no need to seek truth. There would be no need to go through the trouble of spreading important information that nobody would read, let alone understand. That is not the case. Today, the rest of humanity has a chance of waking up. We can all do our part and help spread the truth. At the same time, however, we must realize that the battle is far from over. As long as there is social inequality, conflict and prejudices, there will be people who will find ways to run away and continue living their lives in denial.
